Gabrielle Lioe is a Sydney based actress of Indonesian/Chinese heritage. Fluent in Bahasa, Gabrielle began performing in community theatre from the age of 7. She is also an accomplished pianist.
Gabrielle has studied performance and screen technique at NIDA and Screenwise.
In 2019 she appeared in the anthology play Central Plaza where she juggled multiple distinct characters that allowed her to showcase her comedic timing. This was followed by The Dust between the Floor Boards’ (dir. Matthew Prest), Anatomy of a Suicide’ (dir. Tim Maddock) and Zoey Dawson’s The Unspoken Word is Joe directed by Mark Rogers, who was the recipient of both the Griffin Award and the Sydney Theatre Company’s Patrick White Award.
On screen Gabrielle has appeared in the STAN series Year Of and ABC’s The Messenger.
