Gail Sorronda is an Australian fashion designer who launched her eponymous label at Australian Fashion Week in 2005 after winning the Mercedes-Benz Start-Up Award with her graduate collection, Angel at My Table.

Renowned for her dark romantic aesthetic, Sorronda has cultivated an international following and earned recognition from some of fashion’s most influential figures. Dolce & Gabbana selected her label for their Spiga2 concept store in Milan, where Vanity Fair reported it was among the store’s top-selling brands. Stefano Gabbana later told The Wall Street Journal, “I love Gail Sorronda. It’s my taste,” while the late Karl Lagerfeld named her “one to watch.”

In 2012, Sorronda opened her first permanent flagship boutique on Brisbane’s James Street, establishing a home for her distinctive vision and growing international profile.

Her work extends beyond the runway through collaborations with leading cultural institutions and creative organisations, including Dark Mofo, MONA, Queensland Ballet, Australasian Dance Collective, the National Gallery of Victoria, Urban Art Projects, Brisbane Festival, Disney, Chelsea Wolfe, Meg Washington, Zanias and Rachel Goswell of Slowdive.
