Hannah Buckley (she/her) is a Sydney-based actor-musician whose work frequently integrates live music and theatre performance.
She originated the principal role of
Pippin Took in the Australian and Asian tour of
The Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale (GWB Entertainment and Kevin Wallace Productions), also playing violin and viola as part of the production’s actor-musician ensemble.
Most recently, Hannah appeared in Fingerless Theatre’s
As You Like It, performing in the ensemble while also serving as Assistant Musical Director of the show’s live score.
Her professional theatre credits include Dobchinsky in
The Government Inspector (Fingerless Theatre), Narrator/Musician in
The Snail and the Whale (CDP Theatre Producers/Tall Stories), and Betty Parris in
The Crucible Symposium presented by Sport for Jove.
Earlier screen credits include work on
A Place to Call Home,
Friday on My Mind,
Love Child, and the BBC period drama
Banished, as well as the feature films
Ladies in Black and
Pacific Rim Uprising.
Alongside her stage work, Hannah records as a violinist with the Sydney Scoring Orchestra, contributing to orchestral soundtracks for major international film and television productions.
