Tahlia Giumelli is a popular Australian model and was most recently featured as the face of Rusty’s global Autumn/Winter 2019 campaign and in the extraordinarily popular Valentine’s campaign for Bras N Things.
A mix of brains and beauty, the ‘girl next door’ spent her childhood years growing up in the iconic beachside suburb of Cronulla. At 17 years of age and following in the footsteps of many of Australia’s top models, Tahlia entered the prestigious Girlfriend Model Search. She was a New South Wales finalist in the 2011 competition. Soon afterwards she was awarded a modelling contract with Chic Management and was a finalist for Miss Universe Australia in 2017.
As a model Tahlia has worked extensively with a range of brands including Bras N Things, Moroccan Oil, Baku, Nutrimetics, Cotton on Body, GUESS and MYER. She has also featured in advertising campaigns for Forever New, Sportsgirl and General Pants; and worked with famed photographers Stephen Chee and Georges Antoni.
On an international front, Tahlia lived and worked in Los Angeles in 2014-2015 and in the United Kingdom in 2016, where she worked regularly with Boohoo and DASH. In 2017 Tahlia secured a small role in the popular US soap The Bold and the Beautiful.
Soon after returning to Australia from the UK, she met English rugby league player Tom Burgess and the couple welcomed their daughter Sophie in August 2019.
Tahlia supports the LIVIN Health Initiative (mental health and suicide prevention) and is an ambassador for Crohn’s & Colitis Australia. Diagnosed with Crohn’s in 2013, Tahlia is a passionate advocate for government funding for Crohn’s and recently met with the Australian Health Minister at Parliament House to push for more awareness of the disease.
